The term dates listed below do not apply to all schools. Dates are set by the legislators of academies, foundation schools, and voluntary aided schools. We recommend contacting the school directly for term dates.
Schools must meet for at least 380 sessions or 190 days per school year to educate their students. If a school cannot meet for one or more sessions due to an unavoidable event, it should find a practical way to hold additional sessions.
AUTUMN TERM 2022

- Half Term – Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October (5 days)

SPRING TERM 2023
Tuesday 3 January to Friday 31 March 2023 59 days
- Half Term – Monday 13 February to Friday 17 February (5 days)
- Easter holiday – Monday 3 April to Friday 14 April 2023
SUMMER TERM 2023
Monday 17 April to Friday 21 July 2023 64 days
- May Day: Monday 1 May 2023

- Spring Bank Holiday: Monday 29 May

Inset Training Days
The above schedule sets out 195 days in total, providing a framework for schools from which five days should be selected as inset training days for teachers, set by the Headteacher in consultation with their staff.
Please note that the total number of working days for teachers is 195 and for pupils is 190.
